Section map

Dorsal View | Ventral View

Select a spot along the top of the figure to view cross-sections at the corresponding level. Lines are spaced 1 mm apart. Available sections range from +3.40 mm to -5.85 mm relative to bregma zero. Several of the sections on the far right and left do not have corresponding images, so they link to the next closest slide.
Dorsal view of a mouse brain with eyes to the right. The bold line crosses the zero reference point, termed Bregma, at midline. A shallow sulcus underlies the suture of frontal and parietal bones. This brain is from an adult C3H/HeSnJ female and weighed 460 mg with paraflocculi. Paraflocculi, pineal, and pituitary have been pulled off.
